A boundary is a dividing line that marks the end of one property or jurisdiction and the beginning of another.  It creates necessary “space” between individuals, defines expectations, and shows respect for others.

When we set boundaries, we are defining what we are personally responsible for. Setting boundaries also protect your resources from being wasted where they’re not valued.

However, when you don’t set good boundaries from the start, it’s tough to pull in the reins after demonstrating otherwise.
